A workshop aimed at helping organizations improve their communications, marketing and media relations is scheduled for Friday morning in Oceanside.
The Fair Media Council’s Summer Boot Camp will take place in the conference center at South Nassau Communities Hospital from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
The lineup of expert speakers includes Steve Rubel, chief media ecologist for Edelman, who will present a media forecast, which analyzes where and how people will be getting their information in the near future. Steven Skiena, director of Stony Brook University’s Institute for AI-Driven Discovery and Innovation, will discuss artificial intelligence and news analysis to demonstrate how news is consumed and shared on social media. Other speakers include executives from News12 Networks, WLIW and marketing agency Austin Williams.
