23 Sep Match Marketing Goes Through Round of Layoffs in Chicago
Norwalk, Connecticut-based Match Marketing has gone through a series of layoffs in its Chicago office, the agency confirmed, characterizing the decision as a strategic realignment rather than related to any specific client losses.
“My charge as CEO is to maintain the level of excellence Match has become synonymous for with our clients while preparing the organization for growth in 2020. As part of that strategy, we are doubling-down on the core disciplines we feel we’re best-in-class at and are most valuable to our clients’ success,” Match Marketing CEO Brian Cohen said. “We want to invest our time, energy and most importantly financial resources towards keeping our client’s just ahead of the curve. As a result, we’ve decided to discontinue and/or divest from a small number of non-core disciplines in an effort to maximize the impact and investment potential in each of our agency disciplines.”
Cohen joined Match Marketing from Epsilon back in July, succeeding Michael Dill as CEO.
The agency declined to elaborate on further details of the layoffs, such as the number employees impacted.
